Do you trust God, or do you think there’s the possibility He may let you down? I’m not talking about what you believe in your head – I’m talking about what you believe in your heart. “Trust” – that’s today’s word.

Most Christians probably say they trust God – wouldn’t you? But when it comes right down to real-life situations, they’re not sure if God is really going to come through.

Isaiah 26:3 says, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusts in Thee.”

Perfect peace is definitely connected with your willingness to trust God – that He will watch over you, and help you in the midst of your situation. “…because he trusts in Thee.” So trust is pretty important if you want to experience God’s peace.

The word trust is a Hebrew verb that means to attach oneself. It can even mean to be careless, to abandon oneself – so confident that you just let go.

So how is your trust factor with God? Are you timid, reluctant and hesitant to release your concerns into the faithful arms of God? Why don’t you pray this way:

“God, I lay this in your hands. I trust you to do what is right and good. Thanks for being there for me. I’m not going to worry about this; I’m going to leave it in your capable hands because I trust You.”

You know what? If you pray that, Isaiah says you will begin to experience an incredible peace… God’s perfect peace. The peace that Paul says passes understanding. So go ahead and trust Him – place your cares in the hands of God. He will not let you down, that’s His promise to us.

Hey, it’s o.k. to trust Him because He is trustworthy.
