Paradise lost will become paradise regained. That’s the message of the Bible. And it is Jesus Christ who will make it happen.
Say, I thought Jesus Christ owns everything. In John 16:15 Jesus said, “All things that the Father has are mine.” Well, that’s true. But, as Paul Harvey says, you need to know “the rest of the story.” You see when God made planet earth, He gave it to man to govern and maintain. But man turned his back on God, and through sin, gave the dominion of earth to Satan—and paradise was lost. That’s why Satan is called “the god of this world” in 2 Corinthians 4:4.
So the Son of God (Jesus Christ) came to reclaim what had been lost. He died for the sins of mankind, and in the process defeated Satan and death. Now according to 1 Corinthians 15:45, Christ has become the “last Adam” and will one day restore paradise to planet earth in the Kingdom Age. That’s why it says in Hebrews 1:2 (speaking of Jesus), …Whom God “has appointed heir of all things.” He was “appointed” heir as a result of His victory over sin, death, and Satan.
This word “appointed” looks at a definite act of God whereby He acknowledged Christ to be the new and final owner of planet earth.
And the Bible says that one day Jesus will descend from Heaven to claim His rightful dominion. And then He will restore paradise to the earth. “He was appointed heir.”
Say—only those who believe in Christ as their personal Savior will enter His Kingdom. Does that include you?
